Meet Beatrice Gedion

Beatrice Gedion is currently a PhD student specializing in mycotoxins at the University of Guelph where she also studies in the Doctoral studies department of plant agriculture.

When did your love of STEM begin?

My love for STEM started the back in 2019 after seeing a friend who is a scientist got involved in STEM. She has really inspired me on her passion for science.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

Science and community development.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

They should feel free to participate to help disperse knowledge across the globe.
