When did your love of STEM begin?
I always loved STEM! From when I was little, I always liked dealing with numbers, building different things, and creating new ideas. All of these things that I loved fell perfectly into the STEM category. I remember being in school and this being something that I excelled in since I enjoyed the work, and I put all my efforts into it. I am so happy that I am able to be doing something that not only I enjoy, but something that can benefit others as well.
What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?
The best part about working in the STEM field is that you can be yourself, and enjoy something that you love, while helping others. The STEM field has so many different opportunities that it not only can further your understanding, but make you appreciate the field that you are in more and more every day.
What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?
The advice I would give to young women who are interested in a career in STEM is that sometimes it may be hard, but the benefit is going to be 100% worth it. I know at times I can get very stressed, but you have to remember that this is something that you enjoy doing, and at times, it can be stressful. When you do something that you enjoy, it doesn't just feel like a job, it feels like just a regular hobby. There are many really neat things that you get to experience and do in STEM, and some things may be a real surprise in a good way. The feeling that you get when you complete a project you are working on and see the outcome is extremely rewarding and uplifting, and 100% worth it.
