You can learn a little more about Dawn hereWhen did your love of STEM begin?

When I was about 8 years old, growing up in London, England.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

How every day is different, and getting to work with enthusiastic life-long learners, including great students, colleagues and staff.

I talk about my life as a scientist in this People Behind the Science podcast episode.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

Get as many mentors as possible, build your networks and learn about the many hurdles preventing young women and members of other under-represented groups from having a long career in STEM -- there has been a huge amount of research on unconscious biases and systemic barriers done by social sciences researchers in the last decade. Make an effort to find out about it.
