When did your love of STEM begin?
My love of STEM began early on when science consisted of baking soda and vinegar volcanoes and grew exponentially from there. Year after year my interest grew as we explored new areas of the vast subject and I could never get enough. Now, studying in the biomechanical field my love for STEM has never waivered and I have never been happier with my choice.
What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?
The best part about being in the STEM field is the constant innovation and endless possibilities. I love creating new things and helping individuals with new solutions and designs. There are endless possibilities with a STEM degree and choosing to study in this field is a decision I will never regret.
What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?
My advice would be to take every opportunity out there and to put yourself out there as much as you can. There really are so many great opportunities in the STEM fields once you put some effort into seeking them and the experiences that come from these are invaluable. I'd also advise reaching out to experienced people in your field and advice or anything, connections are key in this industry and establishing good ones early on is very beneficial.
