When did your love of STEM begin?

My love of STEM began when before I even remember. When I was younger and then growing up, I had a very natural aptitude for Math and Science. And I remember my older brother, my parents would get him a bunch of like math learning books from like Scholastic shop, and he wouldn't do them, but then I would. So I would fill out all the books for Math that was like two grades higher than me and I just I just had a really fun time doing it was a good challenge.

What did you love most about study in your field of STEM?

The thing I love most about studying STEM is that it makes logical sense. For most Math answers, there's a certain way to prove it. There is a certain way to do a calculation. It's very logical steps you can take from point A to Point B for most things. The same with programming, it's entirely logical flow [like] if statements, for [statements], you think through the hard problems. Also, it’s a lot of problem solving, which I like.

What advice would you give to young women considering a career in STEM?

The advice I would give to a woman considering a career in STEM is to have confidence. If it's something that you really enjoy doing and you want to do as a career then on it that's that's your choice. Be happy and proud of it because working in it is one of the greatest things in the world to me and I wouldn't have it any other way.
