Meet Marcia Fanti

Marcia Fanti is an MBA student from Palermo University (class of 2024). She received her Law degree in 2017, the same year she passed the bar. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Communications (2006) and an associate's degree in business administration (2012). She currently works in Sales Development for the LATAM market at Coursera. In her spare time, Marcia enjoys reading biographies, networking, meeting with friends, and dancing. She enjoys racket sports - beach tennis being her new fav!

When did your love of STEM begin?

When I worked at KPMG as a digital learning associate, I noticed that technology could really create new ways of learning. After a few years as a digital learning manager, I left KPMG for a new personal challenge: endeavor an edtech sales career for the California-based company called Degreed. Now, at Coursera, I am able to bring together my passion and my knowledge: connecting people with opportunities to learn.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

Keeping up with ever-evolving technology and spreading the word about new possibilities.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

You don't need prior skills in STEM: you need curiosity and a lifelong learning approach to what is out there.
