When did your love of STEM begin?
When I was 6 year old, I got a book set from my mom called Children's Encyclopedia. There are four books in the set: Nature, Technology, Sociology and Art. I finished two books Nature and Technology first in a summer. Start from that summer, I knew I would step into STEM world eventually.
What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?
A lot of opportunities. As a mechanical and mechatronics engineer, you can try and choose a lot of different fields as your career direction.
What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?
If you are interested in STEM, follow your heart. The STEM is a huge tower. Thousands of years of human history have contributed knowledge to this tower. Climbing this tower is hard work, but it has nothing to do with whether you are a woman or not. Follow your interest, learn and use what you see in this journey, you will change the world.
