Meet Vittoria Fortier

Vittoria Fortier earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Education. She is currently a teacher, but in her free time can be found spending time with her family, crocheting or knitting.

When did your love of STEM begin?

My father instilled a love for STEM in me when I was in high school. He inspired me to become an electrical engineer and I have never looked back.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

The best part of working in STEM is being able to create something that is useful. With STEM, the sky is really the limit as to what you can create.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

A career in STEM offers so many opportunities. My industry experience in a STEM career has allowed to be able to share this experience with my students. A STEM career offers rewards beyond measure.
