When did your love of STEM begin?

Ever since my mum taught me science when I was a little kid - she'd sit me down on a Saturday and teach me about the plant and animal kingdoms. Expeditions to the museum and zoo were a big part of my life and sparked an appreciation for using science to understand the natural world.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

The variety. I have had many different jobs in different areas of environmental science and it's never boring.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

Keep an open mind and always say yes to new opportunities and challenges. Never stop learning.
