When did your love of STEM begin?

Growing up I was always good in Math and Science and very curious to learn more. Because my family is not in STEM and I come from a small town, I did not get much exposure to STEM. It wasn't until college that I started doing research in a lab and found it to be my real passion.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

Creating something that did not exist before, been an inventor and finding/creating new things to change the world.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

Look for opportunities to get in the field, learn as much as you can to see what you really like. You do not have to find opportunities or answers to your questions alone, reach out to someone you admire or want to learn more about what they do. Most people are willing to share their stories and help others grow. And if after trying you do not like it, it is totally ok.
