When did your love of STEM begin?

My love for STEM began in high school science classes, when I had the opportunity to experience the "magic" of color changes and then uncover the reasons behind that magic.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

The best part about working in the STEM field is solving real-world problems through creativity and critical thinking. It is very rewarding to empower and inspire students to develop important future-ready skills and to help shape the next generation of innovators, problem solvers and leaders.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

One piece of advice I would give to women pursuing STEM fields is to be resourceful, persevere, and never let anyone stand in the way of their goals and dreams. Dream big, be creative, and make sure to hone their soft skills, as they are just as important for success as technical expertise.

Tell us a fun fact about you and your current role!

One of the best things about teaching science is the chance to be creative and design engaging opportunities that make learning both fun and impactful for students. I love finding new ways to bring concepts to life, whether it’s through labs, real-world challenges, or collaborative projects. It’s incredibly rewarding to see students light up when they make connections in a memorable and meaningful way!
