Meet Inmar Givoni

Inmar Givoni earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. She is currently a Senior Engineering Manager at Uber Advanced Technology Group (which is the self driving division of Uber.) In her free time she can be found writing, dancing, playing ultimate frisbee and empowering other women into STEM.

When did your love of STEM begin?

As soon as I started studying Math, in elementary school.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

Problem solving, technology always changes, so you can always learn new things, working with smart people, creating the future

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

Don't worry about whether you are good or not at is. Do it for the joy. It's wasting brain energy on worrying. The only way to be good at it is to practice doing. Worrying simply doesn't help.
