Meet Kim Tait

Kim earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Manitoba, her Master of Science at the University of Manitoba, and completed her PhD at the University of Arizona. She is currently a Senior Curator and Teck Chair of Mineralogy at the Royal Ontario Museum. In her free time she can be found playing hockey or chasing after her five kids.

When did your love of STEM begin?

When I was little, looking at driveway rocks.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

Getting paid to do what I love.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

Follow your dreams, don't listen to people that don't encourage you.
