When did your love of STEM begin?

Jr. High: My favorite teachers were my math and science teachers. Their enthusiasm about solving problems and understanding everything around us captivated me. I would find myself volunteering for things in and out of their classrooms and staying late after class.

What did you love most about study in your field of STEM?

Engineering prepared me for solving problems and working towards increased efficiency. The best part about my field is that each day presents a new challenge and opportunity. These challenges range from complex engineering problems to increasing effective communication between teams. It's always something new!

What advice would you give to young women considering a career in STEM?

Find your passion and never stop learning. STEM will prepare you for any of life's challenges.
