Meet Meghna Saxena

Meghna Saxena graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Guelph in 2020. She currently works as a Project Coordinator at Promation Engineering. In her spare time, Meghna enjoys playing sports, watching netflix, learning about new things, and cooking.

When did your love of STEM begin?

My love of stem began since grade 10 when I first knew I wanted to go into Engineering. Instantly I knew there was no other line of career I wanted to be in.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

The best thing about working in the field is seeing not enough females around you, encourages you to empower other women to join and see equality in the workplace.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

You'll face barriers when it comes to careers in STEM, you won't see alot of other women, but you just have to rise from above all the stereotypes and become more powerful than people want to see you becoming.
