Meet Samreet Atwal

Samreet Atwal earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph. She currently works as a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator at Bimbo Limited. In her spare time, she likes to write, dance, sing, draw, paint, or do yoga.

When did your love of STEM begin?

Since my time in high school, I was always curious about how fascinating human body- it’s physiology is! I always wanted to learn more and couldn’t stop marveling what I considered to be the best creation on earth so far! How we humans have developed this world and all the technology we humans have invented is beyond appreciation. My curiosity and passion drove me towards Nutritional sciences, in an attempt to may be someday be able to make a difference in the world through spreading awareness related to Health and Nutrition.

What did you love most about study in your field of STEM?

How STEM never disappoints you. It has always kept me want to go deeper and deeper and yet always I don’t ever want to stop! I am always thinking, ok what’s next? Of course with same amount of enthusiasm and STEM has never failed me to think beyond each time.

What advice would you give to young women considering a career in STEM?

Don’t worry, STEM will never fail you! Just pursue your passion and keep going-there are more opportunities than we realize.
